Trying On Dresses
When you arrive for your bridal appointment, you’ll check-in and be paired up with one of our expert stylists who will take you to a private area to try on gowns. They’ll ask you questions about your wedding, your budget, and your overall vision for the big day. You don’t have to have everything figured out, but it definitely helps when deciding what kind of dress you should look for.
After you try on a few dresses, you’ll begin to get a clearer idea of what you like and don’t like. This is going to be fun, but it’s also going to be a lot! It can be overwhelming trying on so many dresses, and plus, you might find yourself surprised by what you like. The important thing here is to keep an open mind and focus on what you enjoy. Quick tip: make sure you come well fed and hydrated so you can be in the best possible headspace for making decisions!

Buying The Dress Everyone loves to talk about that moment when a bride tries on the perfect dress that was just made for her. She walks out, does a twirl, and everyone in the room bursts into tears. This might happen, and it might not. That’s okay! You might fall head over heels with the first gown you put on, or you might feel satisfied yet not overly emotional by the time you get to your 6th dress that fits like a glove. Either way, when it’s time to make the decision, trust your gut. Once you decide, your stylist will take note of the specific designer, style, and color you’ve selected. No worries if it doesn’t fit perfectly, because that’s where alterations come in! Your stylist will make sure she has your measurements to order the dress for you. |
The turnaround time varies for a wedding dress, but we always let our brides know it could take anywhere from 6-8 months, so it’s best to start this search early to allow time for alterations and bridal portraits. Don't worry if you have a shorter timeline though, we sell dresses out of our collection all the time. And some of our designers have in-stock pieces that we can get quicker than 6-8 months, it all just depends on the dress.
Accessorizing
Once you find your dress, this is a great time to pick your accessories. Many times you can do this in the same appointment, but there’s no pressure to pick accessories the minute you find “the one.” You can decide on a veil that matches the gown, jewelry, or any other accessories you like! Our stylists will make sure to help guide you in the right direction so you can perfectly put together your bridal look.
Picking Up The Dress + Alterations
When your dress arrives at our store, we will just it over and give it a light steam. Then we get to call you with the best news - your dress is ready to be picked up! While you might get lucky and not need alterations, we find that’s rarely the case. Go ahead and set up your first fitting immediately, because the sooner you get in to alter your gown, the better! Remember to always bring your shoes to your fittings and any undergarments you’ve decided to wear to get the full picture. If you need seamstress recommendations, we are happy to provide a list of seamstresses that past bride's had a good experience with.

The Big Day
Once your dress is freshly steamed and altered, all that’s left is to store it before the big day! Make sure that the day before your wedding, you have a steamer on hand along with a few other necessities (double stick body tape, sewing kit, and safety pins just in case). Take a moment to relive your "yes to the dress" moment and admire how far you've come from that day in our store to now your wedding day. And don't forget to tag us in your bridal photos, we love seeing your completed look!
